The Laird Technique of Latin Dancing is a new five-DVD set to accompany the famous book by dance legend Walter Laird, with the figures brought to life by Strictly stars and Latin champions Neil and Ekaterina Jones. Walter Laird’s book is the “bible” for medal test pupils, students, trainers, teachers and coaches throughout the world. It is used as the foundation of the routines created for every grade of competition dancer from beginner to world champion. Created to complement Latin training at all levels, this DVD set has been produced by the Latin Faculty of the International Dance Teachers’ Association. The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has published a technique DVD for each of the Latin as well as the Standard dances. Between them, the 10 DVDs provide a practical introduction to the technique in Latin and Standard for dancers at all levels: from students to professionals – and on to teachers or trainers.   The DVDs explain all facets of the WDSF technique, transmit a wealth of knowledge and create the solid base for the continued development of DanceSport.
